The FAA proposed civil penalties against nine passengers for violations of federal regulations which total $119,000.
The agency said the violations range from drinking alcohol to fighting with flight attendants over facemask policies and alleged assaults in several different cases.
The passenger who was flying from San Diego to Nevada was on a Frontier Airlines flight after she repeatedly removed her facemask and refused to comply with the crew s request to wear it properly.
According to the agency, the woman was also allegedly drinking even though the Frontier Flight did not serve alcohol, which is a violation of FAA regulation.
Back in January, the FAA announced that they would be implementing stiffer penalties for passengers who threaten, intimidate, and harass crewmembers.
