Less than two hours after a Minneapolis jury began deliberations in the murder trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin, a dozen diverse Space Coast faith leaders prayed for peace, justice and healing.
“Father God, we pray for the family of George Floyd, pray that you will continue to strengthen them,” said Pastor Quintin Woods Sr. of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Melbourne.
“And then God, we even pray for the accused, Derek Chauvin. We pray for his family,” Woods said.
