Nine has now confirmed the line-up for its ANZAC Day eve broadcast of
Music From The Home Front, hosted by David Campbell, Brooke Boney and Kate Gudinski.
Music From The Home Front was conceptualised by the Mushroom Group’s Michael Gudinski, who was well into planning this year’s concert when he died suddenly on March 2.

Australia s biggest artists are getting together to play the second Music From The Home Front gig, happening this Anzac Day Eve.
The event is being televised nationally and a live concert at Melbourne s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, with incredible live performances pre-recorder and broadcast on the night.

Michael Gudinski, founder of the Mushroom Group, Australia’s largest independent entertainment company, has died. He was 68.
Gudinski’s death was confirmed in a statement posted on the Mushroom Group’s website. “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Gudinski AM overnight,” the statement reads. “The much-loved Australian music legend died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Melbourne, Australia.”

He founded the Mushroom Group in 1972 at just 20 years old, which flourished into Australia’s largest independent entertainment group covering touring, record labels, publishing, merchandising, booking agencies, film and television production and creative services. Michael Gudinski, the Australian music pioneer whose Mushroom Group would become the template for independent music companies and who, with his rambunctious, exuberant personality, became the face of his country’s music scene, has died. He was 68.
Gudinski died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Melbourne on Monday night, his passing a shock to everyone connected with Australia’s music industry.
Speaking with
Billboard just last week, Gudinski was his typical, enthusiastic self, looking ahead to new TV projects, the vaccine rollout and the return of full-scale touring in these parts.
