Actress Zoe Saldana initially turned down the lead role in Taylor Sheridan s new TV series Special Ops: Lioness due to her ADD and dyslexia making it challenging to learn dialogue. However, after reading the script and a year later, Saldana s husband urged her to reach out to Sheridan again. After speaking with him, Saldana agreed to the role playing CIA operative, Joe, who recruits a character to go undercover in the CIA s Lioness program.
