Having grown up immersed in nature and agriculture, I have always appreciated and valued the unique landscape, beauty, strength and resilience of the California desert. From Painted Canyon and Ladder Canyon in Mecca to the fields of the eastern Coachella Valley, to the mountains and hills encircling our communities, we are truly surrounded by immeasurable natural treasures. It has always been a priority for me that my family spend as much time as possible exploring the natural world.
