From Nassau Hall to Lewis Library; Rocky College to Frick Chemistry Lab; Princeton’s campus has ceaselessly evolved, passing through a series of distinct architectural identities. This lecture will discuss the transformation of Princeton’s idyllic campus through its 20th century phases: Victorian, Collegiate Gothic, Modernism, and finally Post-Modernism. More than a virtual tour, this talk will go beyond the beautiful facades and explore the history of the University’s buildings constructed from the 1890s-1990s.
