Only essential retail shops that have been outlined in the Scot Gov guidance â retail can remain open. Businesses which are allowed to stay open will be expected to follow all other legal requirements, rules and guidance.

From Boxing Day the Highland Council area will be placed in a Level 4 Protection Area and the authority has issued advice for holiday accommodation owners during the coronavirus pandemic.
All holiday accommodation is required to be closed to tourists â however hotels, bed and breakfasts and self-catering can remain open for essential customers only.
When providing accommodation to essential customers, this should only be open for when they require accommodation as part of that role.
