Queen s five-month-old puppy Fergus died of heart problem

Queen is left devastated after five-week old Dorgi puppy dies

It is not known how Fergus died.  The day before Prince Philip s funeral, the Queen drove her two new puppies from Windsor Castle towards Frogmore Gardens for a walk. The Queen named the dorgi - a Dachshund and a Welsh Corgi mix - Fergus, after her maternal uncle Fergus Bowes-Lyon, who died in France during World War I.  He was given along with a second dog, a corgi, Muick - pronounced Mick - after Loch Muick, a lake on the Balmoral Estate in Scotland   It has since emerged that the pups were bought by Prince Andrew in a bid to cheer the Queen up.

The snap shows her looking regal in a purple dress and hat and with an endearing smile on her face. It was from her solo public engagement to the MI5 headquarters last year, according to Daily Mail.
