Barbara Brooks
WATERTOWN – Barbara (Green) (Curtiss) Brooks, 94, of Watertown, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at her home. She was the widow of Wooster B. Curtiss and Clifford W. Brooks.
Bobby was born in Salem, N.J., Dec. 12, 1926, daughter of the late Dr. David W. and Doris (Sneden) Green. She was raised in Salem, N.J., and lived in Watertown for her remaining years. A graduate of Skidmore College, she worked as a laboratory technician for Waterbury Hospital.
Bobby was a member of Sexta Feira, Friends of the Watertown Library, and the Watertown Historical Society. She was a past member of the Watertown Foundation and the Watertown Board of Education.
The Friends of the Watertown Library held their holiday drawing at the recently reopened Book Nook. The winners of the drawing are Pat Hotchkiss, who won the Pizza Basket; Renee OâToole, the Spa Basket and Rita Wolfe, the Gardnerâs Basket. Shown are, from left, Deb Krayeske, the basket designer; and friends volunteers Nancy Zawakzki and Debra Zawakzki. The Friends of the Library thank the community for their support in patronizing the Nook and look forward to seeing everyone in the new year.
