WCCB Charlotte s CW It’s a chilly start this morning with temps in the 30s across the region. Roads may be slippery from yesterday’s snow across the mountains, otherwise, we’re looking at a quiet start to the day. Clouds increase today with highs reaching the low 50s. Temps will remain cool through Thursday ahead of our next big weather maker. Thursday PM/Friday Winter Weather A straight snow event will be likely for the mountains with up to 6″ possible. Things get a little bit more dicey south of the I-40 corridor. We’ll likely get a rain/snow/ice mix with 1-2″ of snowfall possible closer to I-40 and across northern Piedmont. Trends are bringing more of a rain event near and south of I-85, however, we could see some wet flakes mixed in – especially late Friday afternoon.
