Iowa residents will soon be able to access COVID-19 testing at home, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health.
The Iowa DPH announced Monday that Test Iowa will transition to providing free, self-administered COVID-19 test kits this week through a partnership with the State Hygienic Lab starting Friday.Sign up for our Newsletters
The partnership will allow Iowans to receive a testing kit, collect samples at home and return the samples through UPS.
Test results would be received via mail.
The Department of Public Health said Iowans can choose between picking up test kits at one of 125 community sites throughout the state or receive them at their homes for free.
