A BBC TV presenter spent almost six hours rescuing vehicles â including an ambulance on an emergency call â that became stuck in heavy snow near Fressingfield last week.
Mark Thompson, author and co-presenter of the BBCâs Stargazing Live, had responded to East Anglian Ambulance Serviceâs appeal for people with 4x4 vehicles to be on call to help stuck vehicles, as much of Norfolk was blanketed with snow.
On the evening of Sunday February 7, he was called into action after a paramedic, who was driving a regular car, became stuck in Fressingfield.

Seven areas of Norfolk recorded fewer than three new coronavirus cases last week for the first time in more than two months.
Public Health England releases figures each week showing the number of new cases in every area of the country. Each area has around 8,000 residents. But when there are fewer than three cases, the exact number is not released as it is so low.
The numbers for the seven days leading up to Tuesday February 9 show zero to three cases in Spixworth, Thorpe St Andrew North, Brundall & Cantley, Harleston, Holt, Reepham and Mundford.
