The district can reduce the number of students and pedestrians being hit by cars on or near campus, a district leader said, if it can learn from its Safe Routes to School assessments, increase the number of volunteer crossing guards, make pedestrian safety curriculum a standard for all teachers and continue community outreach and engagement.
