Pictures of the rescue, courtesy of Freshwater Fire Station. A WOMAN was rescued by firefighters and coastguard crews after getting stuck in mud this evening. HM Coastguard called the fire service for assistance with the rescue at Bramble Chine, Colwell Bay, at around 6.30pm.

A rescue operation is underway to free at least one person stuck in the mud at Colwell Bay this evening (Tuesday).
Crews are at Brambles Chine, Freshwater, alongside coastguard teams

A person has become stuck in the mud, according to the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.
Two pumps, a water rescue team and a landrover are in attendance.
