Ben Shelton leads way, women’s team drop the second-weekend match

Freshman Ben Shelton sat on the bench after Tennessee s Luca Wedenmann paved the way in a 6-0 first set blowout. During the intermission, assistant coach Scott Perelman approached Shelton.
“You got this guy,” Perelman exclaimed. “You’re still on top of him. Let’s get it right here.”
Shelton took the words to heart. With his chin up, Shelton stole five straight games

The stars at night will be big and bright deep in the heart of Texas this weekend when the No.9 Florida Gators (2-0) will participate in the ITA Kick-off Weekend tournament as the No. 2 seed.
But will the stars of the Gators’ tennis program shine on the court? There will be many challenges for Florida, and one arrived before the first serve took place.
