Locations of interest visited by Northland positive case revealed

The Ministry of Health has revealed the list of locations visited by a Northland woman who tested positive for Covid-19 after leaving managed isolation.
The list includes nearly 30 supermarkets, clothing and electronic stores, cafes, restaurants, a gallery, plant centre, museum, pharmacy, vehicle testing station and tavern.
It covers a period from January 14 - the day after she left MIQ - to January 22 - the day she got tested after developing symptoms seven day earlier.
It includes locations in Whangārei, Ruakaka, Parua Bay, Mangawhai Heads an Helensville.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has urged Kiwis to be kind to each other, after the announcement that there is a new case of Covid-19 in the community.
A 56-year-old woman from Northland tested positive for Covid-19, after spending two weeks in managed isolation in Auckland.
She twice tested negative for the virus while in MIQ at Auckland s Pullman Hotel and left the facility on January 13, developed mild symptoms on January 15, and got tested on January 22 after her condition deteriorated.
Before developing symptoms and testing positive, she travelled around southern Northland. The list of locations she visited was released Sunday evening.

Northland businesses are anxiously waiting to hear whether a community outbreak of Covid results from a woman who has tested positive for the virus travelling widely in the region.
The Northland Chamber of Commerce predicted hundreds of staff won t come into work today after the 56-year-old woman visited about 30 locations across lower Northland and north Auckland.
