Světová jaderná energetika má v současnosti dva nepřehlédnutelné lídry. Zdaleka nejvíc nových reaktorů stavějí ve vlastní zemi Číňané a mají našlápnuto také k tomu, aby se sami stali exportní velmocí. Přeborníkem ve výstavbě atomových elektráren na zahraničních trzích je zase ruský Rosatom. Konkurenti z dalších států se s tímto stavem pochopitelně nechtějí smířit – notabene v době, kdy je stále zřetelnější, že se „jádro“ stává klíčovou technologií budoucnosti. Bez velkých ani malých reaktorů nebude možné plnit závazky klimatické neutrality, k nimž se hlásí čím dál větší část světa.
