Its a messy day, especially for those trying to get back home. St. Helena with some light to moderate rain. You can see a heavy down pour at petaluma marshall road, highway 1 through inverness. As we go through wood acre, things really begin to die down. But it will be filling in. We have showers offshore. We have some very gusty winds, and the cold core of the system not coming in tonight, so between now and tonight, we are ripe for showers, even a thunderstorm. Wind gusts from 15 to 25 miles an hour, keeping it mild out there. Its a 1 on the storm impact scale. Where ive been watching some fog drift around. As we get a look at that school day forecast, its 50 degrees, definitely need a jacket, but not later on today, we will be at 71 degrees at 1 00 today. As we look at this slow drive heading up to the highrise where there are vehicles blocking your two right lanes, only one gets by, we are looking at what could be a half an hour, maybe more. We just upped the time, it was about a half hour delay but now that travel time registers that its 45 minutes heading across from the east bay. Everyone under a heat advisory except parts of the north bay until 9 00. Temperatures in the 90s and 100s for most. Take a look at the bad air. And temperatures are already much warmer than yesterday at this time. 71 in mountain view. 62 Half Moon Bay, 5 morgan hill and no wind ata. Now to a story only on abc 7 news is how well begin tonight. Its hard to believe that the woman you just saw was in this car and survived. She says she crashed because of another drivers road rage. And today she spoke with Alyssa Harrington from her hospital bed. Madison holland gets a kiss from her mother while she recovers from surgery in her hospital bed. The 24yearold from oakland has several broken bones and a spinal injury he says she got from a road rage crash. Holland says it all started wednesday afternoon when a man in a maroon truck cut her off in the caldacut tunnel. It freaked me out. I flashed my lights and honked on him and the brake checking began.
