PAWTUCKET – The developer behind a previous plan to build 180 residential units over a trio of four-story buildings off Freight Street is scaling back the project, and in doing so has asked to rescind the city’s prior approval of a tax treaty agreement for the project.
The total investment listed by Ken Zuckerman two years ago when the City Council approved a tax treaty was $20.75 million in hard construction costs and another $5 million in soft costs.
Zuckerman told officials at the time that they had taken a bold stance in approving a new broader concept of 20-year tax stabilization agreement projects worth $20 million or more.
