Marlboro Police said that they received a call around 11:38 pm Sunday night from the homeowners about a possible fire in the residence.
Once on scene, Officers Donna Gonzalez, Michael Morgante, Ryan Anzalone and Colin Murray reported heavy smoke condition coming out of the attic and they then met the homeowners and several family members who were outside the residence.

Two people escape Marlboro home fire, two dogs unaccounted for
An investigation is underway following a fire at a home on Regina Road in the Morganville section of Marlboro Township on Thursday, where two people were able to safely get out of the residence but it s not known where their dogs are at this point.
Marlboro Township Police said they received a 911 call around 11:05 am regarding a fire that began in the garage and had spread to a portion of the residence.
Two family members were home at the time, police said, and they were both able to get out safely.
