Fidelity launches pooled employer plan
Fidelity Investments became the latest to register with the Department of Labor as a pooled plan provider. The PEP, which appears to target small businesses, could significantly boost the company’s presence in that market – the bulk of Fidelity’s defined-contribution plan business is with large employers.

The country’s biggest 401(k) provider is seeking to build out its business in the brand-new pooled employer plan market.
On Thursday, Fidelity Investments became the latest company to register with the Department of Labor as a pooled plan provider. The Fidelity PEP, which appears to target small businesses, could significantly boost the company’s presence in that market – the bulk of its defined-contribution plan business is with large employers.
Marching in to area supermarkets: Bridging the Gap ‘Coffee Platoon’ available at Hunterdon County ShopRites

This week, the Bridging the Gap “Coffee Platoon” began distributing their blends of coffee at all three ShopRite locations in Hunterdon County as well as locations in Yardley and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Bridging the Gap is a nonprofit that works to “open career doors for veterans and spouses to veteran-friendly corporations.”
The blends, each with a patriotic or service-specific theme, include Stars & Stripes, Freedom Blend (Decaf), Army Strong, Anchors Away, Semper Fi, Aim High and Semper Paratus. They include both dark roasted and mild blends. Other products, which will be available soon, include tea and hot chocolate. Profits from all sales go toward opening career doors to the military community transitioning into a civilian career.
