FREEDOM – Two incumbents and four other candidates are vying for the four open seats on the Freedom Area School Board.
Incumbents Sharon Geibel and Lorilee Patsiga Pail, and candidates Monica Grunnagle, Jennifer Hill and Michelle Micija cross-filed, while Joshua Dean is running as a Democrat.
Geibel, 51, of New Sewickley Township, is a self-employed consultant in the legal and family services field. She s running for re-election because she believes all students should receive the highest quality education possible. Pennsylvania school districts continue to be charged with the difficult task of providing high-quality public education while being severely and unfairly underfunded at the state level. I am committed to fighting for our students and for our community, Geibel said.
