(HCP Photo/Caitlin Forsha) During two brief sessions Wednesday, April 21, Highland County commissioners Jeff Duncan, Terry Britton and David Daniels appointed an interim Job & Family Services director, approved a construction project and gave an update on other county business.
At 9:08 a.m., commissioners entered executive session with Brett Geary of Clemans, Nelson & Associates to discuss “personnel/employment matters.”
After exiting executive session at 10:46 a.m. and entering a short recess, commissioners reconvened at 11 a.m. to pass a resolution authorizing “the interim appointment of Katherine Smith as Director of Job and Family Services.”
