It was a really busy week. So lets get right to it, some of the conversations you might have missed. Billionaire mark cuban, a Kamala Harris supporter, appeared on a Cnbc Squad Box and shared his thoughts on the Vice President s vision for the economy. Lets take a listen. How much more do you think the public knows now, and how much more do you think the public should know . Obviously, she is talking more, giving speeches, she was very clear about tariffs right there and shes got 40 days to communicate about other things. Think of this as a business and she is the ceo. She went from lack of favorability, lack of awareness, and way behind Donald Trump, to here we are, 50 days later from where she started, she is oh worst tide, people on her economic policy, she was by trump 20 , now she is behind 11 . She is making progress. If she just continues along the trend, the trend is her friend, that means, she is doing the right thing. She will keep communicating new ideas, new elements. She w
nudity, terrorist threats, racist speech, or something like that, you might step in there. beyond that, would you step in and put your thumb on the scale as far as the viewpoint of the content being posted? senator, no. in general, our goal is to allow people to have as much expression as possible. okay. so subject jot exceptions we have discussed, you would stay out of that. let me ask you this, isn t there a significant free market incentive that a social media company, including yours has in order to safeguard the data of your users? don t have you free market incentives? yes. don t your interests align with those of us here who want to see data safe guarded? absolutely. do you have the technological means available at your disposable to make sure that doesn t
anybody else. i can t imagine how they think you can pass a piece of legislation like this. it s so unpopular and they re not trying to sell the parts they believe in. and brett, it s just been an afterthought for republicans. we were saying the first hour, really for conservatives the tragedy here is medicaid is going bankrupt along with medicare over the next 20 years or so. they ve got to fix it. everybody knows that except for paul kroegman, everybody knows it. and the health care system is broken. we re spending more money than any country per patient and we re not getting the results. there are no free market incentives in the system. and yet, republicans rushed a health care bill out there that s doomed to failure. they re not trying to fix it or bend the cause curve. they re just trying to scoop up $750 billion for a tax bill in the future. this is what you have when you get a lennonist government.
pediatric services among them. in other words, health care. health care. elise jordan, so you have mainstream republicans and moderate republicans against the bill for that reason. you have conservatives against the bill because there aren t enough free market incentives there to actually try to get some free enterprise into our health care system. there is no wonder that this thing sitting at, what, 17% approval rating nationwide. why vote for that bill? joe, i just can t help but to feel that this was really hijack by the surance companies, that their lobbying effort on president trump was really successful just because this is a bill that, you know, so many consumer groups don t approve of but the insurance companies overwhelmingly do. their pitch they can t offer all of these service they can t afford it and the markets are
care. when i was a congressman for the 12 years i was in congress, i received and suspected no taxpayer subsidized health care because it was unfair to take health care from the taxpayer when so many of the people that i represented had no access to health care. these folks make a good salary. let them put their own behavior where their rhetoric is. it s easy to say we will take it from poor people and accept it for yourself. it s hypocrisy and the american people recognize hypocrisy when they see it. there is another criticism that has been levelled that is not going anywhere. it s more than a political set of scare tactics. what do you say to that? it gives the american a clear choice between obama care and what the republicans would propose which is repealing obama care. it has no free market incentives
