Number 1 is an ordinance amending the health code by amending the sugar sweetened beverage to update the findings and purpose, revise the definition of advertiser, reduce the warning size, move modifiede warning text, remove exemptions for certain types of sugar advertisements. They have limited comments, so i dont see too much problem moving forward. The project will still meet the requirements of the sutterkearney historic guidelines and will continue the plane of the existing street facade, the storefront at the ground level will provide the main entries into the hotel lobby and the retail, and therell also be a secondary egress to the side alley of the building, as well. Once the project is in title, well bring on things such as building designers, and well also continue working with the acoust acoustical engineers who will provide the studies. It is killing people and it is absolutely making no sense to put Law Enforcement and public works in the place of other members that know what they are doing, that know the signs and know what to do when there is an overdose happening. I think, as the board of supervisors, you have the capability of supporting narratives that humanize these people that are on the street, regardless of how they ended up there and regardless of what choices they are making with the options that they have.
