Police in Michigan are searching for the killer of a father of two who was fatally shot while in his family s driveway.
On Sunday night, at about 8 p.m., Fredric Hudson, 48, was shot during a carjacking outside his family s Southfield home. His wife and their two children were inside when the shooting occurred, WDIV reports. Hudson was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. Authorities have identified a person of interest in the fatal shooting of a Southfield husband and father, Fredric Hudson, 48, gunned down outside his home Sunday at around 7:50 p.m.
Southfield Police Chief Elvin Barren hasnât released the personâs name, but said he is a 25-year-old male with a âsignificantâ criminal history and ties to Southfield. While he hasn t yet revealed a possible motive, Barren said the shooting was not random and Hudson was targeted in the attack.
The person of interest fled the scene in Hudsonâs car, a white 2013 Toyota Tundra. Police are looking for the vehicle, with the Michigan license plate CPA-1749.
