Q: As always, I enjoy reading your column in the newspaper. This morning your first question was from a person who wondered if you had any information about artist A L Krueger, who signed a charcoal drawing in 1885, from the Hampton Mansion in Towson, Maryland.  I am by no means an expert genealogist, but I do have an Ancestry membership so I thought I would try to see if I could find anything for you. The only name I could find that would fit the location of Baltimore, and the timeline around the late 1800s, was that of August Leopold Krueger, born December 1865 in Baltimore to John W and Adelaide G Krueger (both born in Bremen, Germany). In the 1870 Census (1870, Ward 10, Baltimore, Maryland, Roll M593 575, p 571A) they are in Baltimore Ward 10, and his father John is recorded as a Fresco Painter. In 1880 they are in the 14th Ward in Baltimore and father John is still a Fresco Painter, as was his oldest brother Frederik Herman, born in 1851 in Bremen. August and his younger
