Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said that the yellow buses popularly known as ‘danfo’ will not be scrapped as earlier reported. Recall that the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Frederick Oladeinde, had earlier said that the yellow buses do not have a place in the transportation master plan of the State. Oladeinde said the yellow buses would soon be scrapped by the Sanwo-Olu administration. However, during an interview with Channels TV, the Lagos State Governor said it will be unfair to scrap ‘danfos’ as they have served Lagos residents for a long time. According to him, the buses will not be scrapped but would rather be remodeled to meet modern standards.
