Flames with some of the first responding firefighters still inside. It happened on dellafield place northwest between 14th and 16 streets. News4s Jackie Bensen is there now. Jackie . Reporter neighbors smelled the smoke and heard the sirens and ran to help. Here is how one man described it. The fire spread so quickly when they were inside the house that all of us out here immediately got worried that they were all inside the house. Because we saw their flashlights upstairs, and then the fire started on first floor. It looked for a minute that they were trapped. Reporter the fire spread quickly through the century old wood frame home in on delafield northwest. There were intense moments when the fire surged and the order was for firefighters to evacuate immediately. Just went to a twoalarm fire. We had some accountability with a we were unable to keep track of a couple of frefighters for a few minutes. Brought everybody out. Got control of that situation. And and there were no injuries.
