Melinda (Mindi) Longworth passed away Monday, April 19th, 2021, age 66, at her home in Hammond, WI surrounded by her loving family and dogs. She was also a longtime resident of Afton, MN.
She had an early career at Digital Equipment Corp. But her passion for dogs led her to own a successful Invisible Fence dealership for many years.
She is survived by her husband Fred Longworth, sister Dean Kepple, brother Mark (Sandy) Games and other family members and many friends.
Mindi is preceded in death by her mother Martha (Williams) Games and father James Games.
To honor her love of flowers and the outdoors, a celebration of life will be held this summer.
The Department for Education has announced 50 schools who will benefit from the School Rebuilding Programme. The department has prioritised schools for the first 50 projects based on the condition of their buildings. Schools have been prioritised that are known to have Laingspan or Intergrid buildings, which are in the poorest condition as identified in data collected by the department. Fred Longworth High School in Tyldesley is among the 50 projects to have been selected, A statement from the school said: This is fantastic news for the school and will enable us to provide the modern, state of the art facilities that our students and staff deserve.
