Gabara v. Facebook, Inc., No. 2020-2333
Gabara sued Facebook Inc. in the Southern District of New York
asserting infringement of several patents relating to imaging
technology. Facebook moved to dismiss, arguing the claims of the
asserted patents were invalid under 35 U.S.C. § 101. The
district court granted Facebook s motion. It found at
Alice Step One that the claims were directed to the
abstract idea of [m]oving the device to change one s view
