Ex-builder Kevin Lawrence, 84, embarked on a series of late-night sorties to cause damage to Carole Buckley s newly erected garden wall in village in Cheshire.
A MAN who was told he has an ‘appalling’ criminal record has been spared jail after going on a spending spree with a stolen credit card. Peter Hogan spent more than £200 on the card around various shops in Warrington town centre and only ceased after the card was declined. The 38-year-old, who has a shocking 49 previous convictions for 102 offences, was hauled before Warrington Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to handling stolen goods and seven charges of fraud. The offences also put him in breach of a post-sentence supervision order imposed by the court in August. But he was told he would not be going to prison on this occasion due to positive representations from his defence and the probation service.
