CSB’s Lyle Ince celebrates 50 years in banking Star Courier KEWANEE On Monday, March 1, 2021, Lyle Ince celebrated his 50th year in the banking industry. Current and former colleagues recognized and helped Ince celebrate his career milestone throughout the day. A graduate of Kewanee High School and Vietnam war veteran, Ince began his career in banking on March 1, 1971, at the former State Bank of Annawan working his way from lending and collections to Vice President. In 1976, Ince moved to the former Kewanee National Bank where he progressed into commercial lending ultimately becoming an Executive Vice President a role he continued when Kewanee National was sold to First of America in 1993.

As it Were: Despite being related and taking similar paths, Swans were quite different Ed Lentz Guest Columnist Because they shared the same last name, practiced in the same profession and spent most of their adult lives in Columbus, Gustavus Swan and Joseph Swan often were mistaken by people unacquainted with them.  Columbus in the 1800s was a relatively small town, and most people living in it knew each other reasonably well. And to residents, it was clear that the Swans were two very different men.  Gustavus was the older, the more gregarious and certainly the more colorful of the two.  

Perkins, Kilburn join Franklin bank s board

Brigitte Kilburn and Jeff Perkins have been named to the board of directors at Franklin Bank & Trust. They will begin serving the Franklin Bancorp Inc. and Franklin Bank & Trust boards Jan. 1. Kilburn is director of career and technical education and media and information technology specialist for Simpson County Schools. She has served in a variety of roles in the Simpson County school system since 1999. A Western Kentucky University graduate, Kilburn also served in the U.S. Marine Corps for eight years. Perkins has served as president of MidSouth Lumber and Supply since 2005, after having served as chief financial officer since 1991. Prior to his building supply experience, he was a CPA with Baird, Kurtz and Dobson.
