Those of us held captive in the SHU have not been able to see our loved ones in nine months. However, population has still been allowed to maintain contact with the outside world during this pandemic through the use of video visits on kiosk machines located in every cell house. 

IDOC Correctional Police Officers Participate In Shop With A Cop – WBIW

 December 11, 2020 (CARLISLE) – Recently Correctional Police Officers (CPO) Frank Vanihel, Kevin Allen, Randy Vanvleet, and Travis Davis, with the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC), participated in Knox County’s Shop with a Cop.  Police and volunteers met at Culbertson Boulevard for a briefing before the parade began.  As they drove down Hart Street their lights and sirens were met with cheers.  Correctional Police Officers Randy Vanvleet, Frank Vanihel, Travis Davis and Kevin Allen When they arrived at Walmart, the gifts were packaged up and ready for delivery.  Each package contained a card with a child’s home address.  Children across Knox County were blessed by the love and generosity of complete strangers, strangers that became a part of the true spirit of Christmas.
