and we are very excited to have them on because they are opening the pyramid stage today. they are opening the pyramid stage today. it s their third time at glastonbury. they came in 1980 and played at the farm, an old festival. they were here in 2011 opening the pyramid, playing all around the site. this is our third time back with the musicians. they are from north africa, from ahl srif in morocco. the south of the rif. they play sufi trance music. they have a dancer, bou jeloud, who is like the pan of the roman times. they have been described by billy corgan of the smashing pumpkins as the loudest acoustic band in the world. he said, nothing, no heavy metal band mic ed up, sounds as loud as them. so blame me, we ll hear what they sound like! we can hear that in a minute, but brianjones from the rolling stones was the man that brought them to the attention of many people. well, yeah. the beat generation, william burroughs, brion gysin in the 505.
