Owner Jonathan Phillips serves what he calls East Coast tacos – including, from left, a black bean taco, beer-battered cod taco and pulled pork taco. Great Northern’s new rep’s plan for struggling mall: a complete break from the past

Clay, N.Y. Can the real estate firm that helped to sell Skaneateles’s infamous “zombie mansion” help breathe new life into the struggling Great Northern Mall?
Frank Procopio, who founded Procopio Real Estate in Camillus 10 years ago, says so. His firm recently opened an office in the mall in the former Yankee Candle shop and has been hired to be the mall’s new leasing agent.
“Great Northern is ready to have life breathed back into it,” Procopio said. “Utilizing new technology and creative marketing, we are ready to take on that challenge. The time has come to usher Great Northern Mall into the modern era.”
