Co Wexford school celebrates special bond between grandparents and grandchildren

The special bond between grandchild and grandparent was celebrated at Danescastle National School last week as nannys and granddads came to visit their loved ones. Principal, Áine Kennedy welcomed the grandparents to the school and thanked them for the wonderful contribution they make to their grandchildren’s lives, before sixth class pupil, Leah Gallagher, with musical accompaniment from Aoife Doyle lit a candle with her granddad, Tony Sexton, to open the ceremony.
