The seasonal shift did not seem to have upset Central Catholic as the Rams are 5-1 and looked every bit the defending state champion from 2019. The abbreviated six-game season ended April 11.
In a game anticipated each year by Catholic fans, Central Catholic dominated Jesuit 35-6 March 5 in a nearly empty Hillsboro Stadium. The fans and bands may have been missing but Central Catholic was not, as junior quarterback Luke Johnson completed 21 of 35 throws, racking up 275 yards and four touchdowns.
