Car stolen from SA destined for Mozambique intercepted
that was being smuggled from South Africa into Mozambique via Zimbabwe near the Tshikwalakwala.
The area lies 135km east of Beitbridge town and the vehicle was intercepted less than 10km from the Limpopo River.
National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said they arrested Mozambican Antonio Sevene Massigue (42) and his Zimbabwean accomplice Robert Mbedzi (35), who hails from the Tshipise area in Beitbridge.
He said three other suspects were still on the run.
Ass Comm Nyathi said the value of the recovered Toyota Hilux was yet to be ascertained.
“The two are assisting the police with investigations.
