SEROWE: The Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) leadership meeting held here over the weekend has devised a plan to field independent candidates in constituencies and wards where they believe they've been short-changed and allocated to other coalition partners.
FRANCISTOWN: With the recent Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) constituency allocation causing dissatisfaction among affiliate members, Francistown East has joined the list. Mmegi has learnt that latest affiliate, Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) is not happy that the constituency has been allocated to the Botswana People’s Party (BPP).
FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana People's Party (BPP) has been given Francistown East constituency to manage under the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) coalition, bringimg the total number of constituencies allocated it to six.
The constituency deadlock between the Alliance for Progressives (AP) and the Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) is over as the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) is set to complete constituencies allocation this month.
As the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) seeks to plot a life without the Botswana Congress Party (BCP), potential partners, the Alliance for Progressives (AP) and the Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF), are said to be at loggerheads over constituencies and ward allocations as cooperation talks continue to stall.
