Squawk alley. As you just heard, stocks are continuing to move higher today although off of the highs of the morning. The s p is up about 0. 6 the nasdaq up about 84 points. On track for the fourth week of gains for the major averaging and today it is that reopening trade back in the drivers seat today. It is it is retail names as well at the same time we dont see a buy fur indication it is a shift to more of a focus on e commerce. Amazon is up 1 . And facebook is up better than that that to me is interesting. Walmart is a stock that has done well prior to things opening up. It is also higher. So there is a mix. I think there is general positivity, larger stocks in general are doing better, but it seems like the market is reacting to not just opening up versus not, but maybe a sense that the economy is starting to find its footing. It is such a great point, john it is names like micro soft, adobe, some of the big cap tech names. So it seems like today, at least, this rally, the breadth
looked at the the sun is coming up you can see the clouds lingering doubt is just cold. it is dryout aside a few passing showers some cloud cover out there were not ruling out more showers throughout the day so kind of unstable weather for the next couple of days. tomorrow wet weather continues but as we hit mid weekend we dry up the cool down temperatures well below freezing by midweek down into the 20s. storm tracker 4 shows a cell passing through but elsewhere dry this morning satellite radar shows what s going on everything dropping from the north so we will continue to see a stream of clouds even a chance of showers tomorrow we expect a new cold front that will usher in some wet weather for the first part of your day tomorrow. not expecting that to let up warmest winters store morning until about four tomorrow snow levels getting low 1,500 ft. expecting to feet of snow above 7,000 ft. that snow piling up enough but it could get gusty which could create poor visibility.
