The top official explained that 9 million doses will be received in July the last shipment this month being set for a date between 26th and 27th.

Peru s military confirmed at least 14 deaths in the massacre that took place in a remote region of the country, weeks before the upcoming polls of presidential elections. Al Jazeera reported that the massacre took the lives of 14 people on Sunday, including two children.
Peru s military blamed the group Shining Path for being responsible for the killings which they label as an act of genocide. However, the Military also reassured Peruvians of a secure electoral process in the coming weeks. The military furthered that the group responsible for the killings labeled such acts to be social cleansing.

12:36 | Mazamari (Junin region), May. 6. The President of the Republic Francisco Sagasti on Thursday morning arrived in the central Peruvian region of Junin, where he is paying a working visit to address social security and social action issues in this part of Peru s central jungle.
During his visit, joined by Interior Minister Jose Elice, the Head of State supervised a donation of explosives.
Earlier today, the President noted that this visit is intended to monitor actions to combat drugs and meet with leaders of indigenous organizations.
