The plane eventually came to a rest on the grass and dirt on the side of the runway and caught fire. Passengers could be seen jumping down the emergency slides. Most of the 307 people on board made it off okay. There were 291 passengers, and 16 crew members. Two people are confirmed dead. They were both chinese passport holders according to south korean officials.
