very few times that we see a whole lot of good that comes out other chamber in the capitol. this is one of the rare moments, this, i would e actually encourage support of it. g.a.o., since e 003, we ve had $1.5 trillion, that s trillion with a t, in improper payments. year 2018 alone, federal agencies estimated there $151 billion in improper payments. knows that probably oftentimes we have had in versight committee annual payments andproper consistently we re talking about hundreds of billions of dollars that are sent to not only the but in terms they re payments not even accounted for. after you get hundreds of billions year after year, eventually that adds up to real money and it s time that we ddress , this is a commonsense piece of legislation so hopefully we can start addressing the sad state of where we are in addressing improper payments. the american taxpayers demand it, the american taxpayers deserve it, and ultimately, we have a responsibility to address it and so
