Although the holiday hails from the beautiful European nation, it is an event observed all over the world, from the Caribbean to Asia, with Filipinos eager to participate during its festivities. Previous stories by the Manila Bulletin state that in 2019, over 15,000 Fiipinos joined the celebration in Ireland. Locally, holy masses were held in Cebu to honor the life of the blessed saint.
