Newly appointed crossing patroller Carrieanne Johnston helping Keiss pupil Katie Polson get to school this morning.
Keiss Primary School and Nursery has a crossing patroller for the first time since last summer following the appointment of local woman Carrieanne Johnston, who started in the role on Monday.
The school had been without a crossing patroller since Frances Calder retired in August 2020.
The road through the village forms part of the A99 between Wick and John O Groats and can become very busy at key points in the day.
