The june shooting took place side the food ccurt at coral ridge mall. 20yearold Andrea Farrington was shot and killed by this man 22 yearold alexander kozak. Kozak was working as a Security Guard for r he mall at the time. Polices say kozak shot farrington three times in the back. According to unsealed documents, kozak told police farrington and him were in a relationshh. Farrington sent a text and broke off their relationship. Kozak told police the text made him snap and he went home to pack his clothes and gun. Kokok is currently in custody. His trial is scheduled to start april 12. The resentencing court date for a man who shot an eastern iowa lice is now set. Eddie chest was supposed to be re sentenced two weeks ago.
