Sheriff releases new details about death investigation in Los Olivos

Santa Barbara County Sheriff s detectives say what was initially being called a suspicious death in Los Olivos is now a homicide investigation.
At about 6:12 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, sheriff s officials say emergency crews were called to a report of a single-vehicle crash in the 6200 block of Foxen Canyon Road.
Once on scene, crews determined that the vehicle, which was found along the side of the road, had not been involved in a crash; however, the person inside the vehicle was dead.
It was initially reported as a traffic accident, but CHP officers and firefighters arriving at the scene in the Santa Ynez Valley Road found a homicide

Deputies investigating suspicious death in Los Olivos

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a suspicious death, which may be connected to a car crash that occurred in Los Olivos Sunday evening.
At 6:12 p.m., a 911 caller alerted authorities to the 6200 block of Foxen Canyon Road in Los Olivos, according to the sheriff’s office. At the same time, a traffic collision was reported, also in the 6200 block of Foxen Canyon Road, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Fire personnel and sheriff’s deputies came out to the scene. Officials closed Foxen Canyon Road at Zaca Station Road Sunday evening. The roadway has since reopened, according to the sheriff’s office.
