brought by a computer repair man. the decision sparked a year s long scandal inching closer to the oval office. dana: the laptop is at the center of the federal probe. the five year investigation culminated in a plea deal for two miss demeanor but a whistleblower said the charges should have been much stronger. the evidence that we collected during it still met the elements of the criminal violations and everyone participating agreed that document went forward with everyone s concurrence. results in this deal? yeah. bill: that whistleblower reacted to evidence suggesting hunter used his dad as leverage in business negotiations saying he tried to follow the money but was repeatedly stopped dead in his tracks. so that s the crux of one of the issues here is that we weren t allowed to ask questions about dad. we weren t allowed to ask about the big guy. we went allowed to include certain names and document requests and search warrants. bill: team fox coverage today

a story we followed for years it comes to what appears to be a conclusion at least on these two stories. on these two. good morning. i think you re right, that this really was not that big of a surprise. there were a lot of people who predicted that this may happen specifically on the tax charges and the gun possession charge. and that charge essentially goes away being diverted, the gun charge. the two misdemeanors he will plead guilty to. this does not stop the investigation into what else is there and the alleged bribery scheme the house republicans are going after pretty intently. i do think that this is another step in the road but one that was predicted and obviously it goes to the president saying he has faith in his son, he never believed he did anything wrong but you heard in that statement from the white house they love him and he is essentially they want to move on. dana: they want to move on. can they move on will be the question. if the justice department has
part of an agreement that includes hunter biden pleading guilty to misdemeanor tax offenses and reach an agreement with prosecutors on the felony charge of illegally having possession of a firearm as a drug user. the rich and powerful and system of justice for everybody else. there are more questions than answers. this plea deal does have all the makings of an avoidance of any jail time. more importantly it was an evasion of the more serious allegations facing hunter biden and the biden family. so it is historic in the sense that the president s son is going to plead guilty to criminal acts. it is going to be very controversial for critics. i think for many, this is going to look like you ticketed the getaway driver after a bank robbery. harris: civil rights attorney and fox news contributor tore leo terrell is with me now. before we get to you, i want to begin with fox news correspondent david spunt who is now at the d.o.j. david. harris, this investigation into hunter
area the snowball effect can t keep up to connect crews to aircraft. julie: mike tobin is following this from chicago international airport. there are some reasons to be a little bit optimistic or have some optimism. the ugly visual the island of misfit bags is gone. doesn t mean all bags are reunited with their owners or made it to the proper city and moved to storage and people are showing up to baggage help at midway airport being sent to the storage longer where someone takes a ticket and attempts to locate bags. some of the bags are in the wrong city. when you look at cancellations across the nation, domestic flights, 2400 cancellations. of those 2300 are southwest. they still have a mess. move a day forward and the southwest cancellations drop to 39. is that an extension of the fact that southwest has already canceled 2/3 of their flight? hard to tell now. one thing you can tell for sure there are still people stuck away from their destinations, renting cars and pay
