On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Fox News Contributor Andy McCarthy discussed what he thinks are the true motivations behind the second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump.
“I think the Democrats want to revive Trump politically. First of all, it’s useful for them to sort of enhance his standing while Biden’s doing all of this very left-wing stuff after he told everyone he’s going to unify the country. So a lot of it takes attention off what they’re doing. But I think the main thing the Democrats would like, they’re not worried about Trump being elected President again. They don’t think that’ll ever happen, but they would love him to be a factor in Republican politics and maybe make a third party run in 2024, certainly screw up the midterms in 2022 by dividing the party.
